Synaxis is centrally located on the well known "restaurant row", Cookman Avenue, in downtown Asbury Park. Synaxis offers an upscale atmosphere featuring fine Greek-Mediterranean cuisine with an eclectic flare. Synaxis has three top shelf bars, featuring a designer martini menu, all made with only the finest ingredients and fresh berries. Our specialty is fresh whole fish imported from around the world. The fish is prepared in the traditional Mediterranean fashion; chargrilled, filleted by our chef, and served with a side of ladolemono, a mixture of fresh lemon juice and the finest olive oil with a touch of saffron. We also feature Certified Angus steaks and chops as well as a number of Greek and Mediterranean specialties made from recipes passed down through generations. Our Chefs have over 50 years combined experience in various different cuisines, and they bring this together with a number of nightly specials that encompass a wide range of cuisines. From traditional Italian with our own homemade pasta sauces, to French with dishes like escargot en croute, and the famous French influenced dish from New Orleans, Oysters Rockefeller. Whatever your taste, Synaxis at the shore has something for you, we even have a kids menu. Our chefs use only the finest ingredients available, and our dishes are all made to reflect that. They are not smothered with heavy sauces to mask the shortcomings of the ingredients, this is something that is taken for granted in the Mediterranean where fresh ingredients like fish and produce are commonplace. We strive to offer you an authentic taste of the Mediterranean experience on the Jersey Shore. As our name suggests, we are a place to come together and enjoy the finer things in life in good spirits with good friends.
We are now serving Lunch Thurday-Saturday 12:00-4:00 PM and our happy hour 7 days a week from 4-6! During happy hour enjoy $6 top shelf martinis from our specialty list as well as a free sampling of items from the menu.
We also offer a wide range of banquet services, ranging from white linen table service for weddings and other gatherings to buffets with carving stations Whether it is a business presentation or meeting, or a sweet 16 or wedding, we can meet all of your private party needs with a seating capacity upwards of 300 people in a fine dining atmosphere. We also proud to offer Kosher bar and catering services at our establishment.
